Making Smart Payments with Sony Bank WALLET Using Google Pay™ or Garmin Pay
Sony Bank customers can enjoy Visa contactless payments by adding their Sony Bank WALLET to Google Pay or Garmin Pay.
Participating merchants
All of these smart payment methods can be used at Visa merchants in Japan and overseas that display the Visa contactless payments symbol.

Payment methods
When paying for purchases, just tell the cashier that you want to pay by Visa or Visa contactless payment, and touch the card reader with your device when the reader light comes on.
Usage limit per transaction
The Sony Bank WALLET usage limit when making contactless payments is 50,000 yen per transaction.
Setting up Sony Bank WALLET on your preferred contactless payment service
Step 1:
Install and open your app of choice on your device. Apps can be used on Near-Field Communication (NFC) devices.
Google Pay
If your device is Android, etc. (Google Wallet™ app)
If your device is Fitbit (Fitbit app)
Garmin Pay (Garmin Connect™ Mobile app)
Step 2:
Enter your Sony Bank WALLET card and customer information.
Step 3:
Confirm Sony Bank's Terms and Conditions. Terms and Conditions are available in both Japanese and English.
Step 4:
Follow the procedures shown on the app screen, and complete the required identity verification procedures via email or telephone. Verification emails will be sent in both Japanese and English. Telephone verification is available in Japanese only.
After your identity has been verified, your Sony Bank WALLET will be registered to the applicable app and you will be able to make Visa contactless payments.

Important
- Additional authentication may be performed during registration on your device.
- Please make sure NFC is turned on when using your device to pay for purchases.
- For some transactions, such as payments over a certain amount, you may be required to unlock your device, enter your PIN, or authorize the transaction with your signature.
- If your Google Wallet-installed device is lost or stolen, please contact our English help desk immediately to protect your account from unauthorized use.
- If your Garmin Pay or Fitbit Pay device is lost or stolen, suspend the use of the Sony Bank WALLET registered to your Garmin Connect Mobile app or Fitbit app, or delete the registered card information.
