Sony Bank has opened a donation account for the disaster caused by Noto Peninsula earthquake in 2024.
Customers who have an account with Sony Bank can transfer funds to this donation account 24 hours a day (excluding system maintenance hours) with no fund transfer fee if the transfer originates from a Sony Bank account.
All funds will be donated through the Japanese Red Cross Society.

In support of the Japanese Bankers Association's (JBA) efforts to raise funds for disaster relief, Sony Bank is offering a cash refund of the fund transfer fee (110 yen (inclusive of tax) per fund transfer) to other banks' accounts for disaster relief donations. A cash refund will be applied only when a transfer fee is incurred.
The efforts of the Japanese Bankers Association can be found at the Japanese Bankers Association's website (information available in Japanese only).
Applicable Period January 17, 2024 (Thu) through December 19, 2025 (Fri) Applicable Accounts Please confirm the applicable accounts via the "窓口振込手数料が無料となる義援金口座 - Donation Accounts With No Fund Transfer Fees" page on the Japanese Bankers Association website (information available in Japanese only). Timing of Cash Refund Every three months, the amount due at the end of the last month is scheduled to be refunded to your Yen savings account during the following month.
For donations made from January to March: transfer fee refunded in April.
For donations made from April to June: transfer fee refunded in July.
For donations made from July to September: transfer fee refunded in October.
For donations made from October to December: transfer fee refunded in January.You can confirm your deposit via the "Transaction History" page under the "摘要 振込 ギエンキンフリコミテスウリヨウキヤツシユバツク - Fund transfer: Cash refund for the donation accounts", after signing in to our English online banking.
- The cash refund will not be made if the eligible account is canceled, etc., at the time of the refund. In addition, if Sony Bank determines that the account is fraudulent, it will also not be eligible for a refund.
- Please ensure that you have the correct account number and other details when making a Fund transfer.
